How do you cup a specialty coffee from the Cup Of Excellence competition? Is the cupping different from that of a regular coffee? You probably know that Cup of Excellence is the most important prize for the specialty coffee producers all over the world. It is given after a rigorous competition that aims to select the best from the best coffees that were produced in a certain country in a certain year. This prize is already 20 years old which testifies to the fact that it has successfully passed the test of time and has significantly contributed to the continuous growth of the specialty coffee quality throughout the world. It is worth tasting any coffee that was so good that it was included among the Cup Of Excellence coffees!
The Cup of Excellence Coffee Cupping includes:
a Nicaraguan coffee – Cup Of Excellence 2018 – NICARAGUA LA VIRGEN COE #6 2018 – 6th place
a Brazilian coffee – Cup Of Excellence 2017 – BRAZIL SITIO DO BONE #7 COE 2017 – 7th place
Whom is it for
The cupping is intended for any coffee aficionado and especially for those of you who would like to taste and enjoy two exquisite coffees, that were highly praised by the Cup of Excellence international Jury.
The cupping lasts for 2 hours and is limited to 10 persons

• Basic theoretical knowledge about the processes from coffee bean to the market
• Skills to define a taste profile and to cup
• Getting to know the professional high-tech equipment of DABOV Specialty Coffee Academy
• A behind-the-scenes look at the international coffee events such as world forums, specialty coffee competitions and barista championships thanks to the accounts from our participants in them
• Cupping and defining a taste profile manual

Every participant in the cupping receives a certificate for attending a Cupping Course from DABOV Specialty Coffee Academy and Association of the Bulgarian Baristas.
What equipment we use
The course takes place at DABOV Specialty Coffee Academy which is hi-tech equipped – coffee grinders Anfim and Mahlkoning, coffee machines Expobar, Sanremo, Kees van der Westen, La Marzocco, professional barista accessories from Hario, Chemex, Motta, Concept Art, etc.
Enroll for the class by paying a deposit in our office ( Sofia, “Lyuben Karavelov” str. № 58)

In case of refusal of attending the cupping, the deposit can be returned 7 days before the course.
