Othaya Farmer’s Cooperative Society (FCS) includes 18 wet mills, an impressive amount, dating back to the late 1950s. The Kamoini factory is located along the Ichamama River, whose source is the Karima Forest, where the Wacheke Kamoini/ Witima Kamoini roads intersect. Nyeri County is characterised by cool temperatures and fertile central highlands, situated at the base of the Aberdare (Nyandarua) mountain range, which forms part of the eastern end of the Great Rift Valley and the western slopes of Mount Kenya.
